From a young age, Brian immersed himself in the study of Tae Kwon Do, later broadening his expertise to include Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Eskrima. His dedication earned him a Jeet Kune Do apprentice instructor title in 2009 and a Katulungan Agisulo 1 (1st dan equivalent) title in 2014 in Eskrima DeCuerdas.
